Harisa Paco grew up in the suburbs of Seattle in a big family and attributes her love for older adults to the close relationship she had with her grandparents. “They taught me to be at peace with the present.” She also cherishes spending time with her nephews.
Harisa completed her bachelor’s degree, and master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on multigenerational practice, at the University of Washington. During graduate school, she interned with Aging Wisdom, honing her knowledge and experience by working closely with older adults and their families, and finding creative solutions to complicated problems.
In her free time, she serves as the fundraising chair of Seattle City Rotaract and also participates in a youth mentoring program at the King County Juvenile Detention Center.
