A native Washingtonian, Lisa Graham grew up in Mt. Vernon. She can proudly trace her roots through many generations of inhabitants of the beautiful Skagit Valley. Like most kids in the area, Lisa spent her summers working in local farm fields where she developed a tenacious work ethic.
Lisa remembers her grandmother and great grandmother with deep affection. She feels fortunate to have had countless hours with both of them throughout her life. She proudly credits her close knit family with helping her develop strong family values.
Lisa attended Washington State University, is a certified home care aide (HCA) with Nursing Delegation, as well as a DSHS-approved instructor for Continuing Education. She has been a professional caregiver since 2008, continually educating herself through workshops and seminars in aging and dementia. Lisa facilitates a quarterly Professional Boundaries Training (approved by DSHS for 3 CEU credits for caregivers) and is involved with hiring, training and supervising Aging Wisdom professional caregivers.
Need the words to an old show tune? Lisa can probably sing it to you, tell you the famous actor who sang it and recite the exact movie it came from! She is on an endless search to discover an old movie she hasn’t seen or one that she vaguely remembers from childhood. In addition to her love of old films, she has an artistic side. Her home art studio is a favorite retreat where several projects are underway at any given time.
