Amanda Lewis, B.A., CMC, is a Certified Care Manager, with a degree in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University (SPU). As a student at SPU, Amanda interned with Aging Wisdom the summer of 2013, bringing with her the experience of having worked as a private companion with older adults. She was then hired on as a Care Manager Associate following graduation. Her career choice to work in Aging Life Care was largely influenced by her mother’s work in the aging field and informed by her family’s experiences caring for her grandmother, who lived with vascular dementia.
In June 2017, Amanda returned to Seattle and Aging Wisdom after having lived and worked in North Carolina while her husband was in graduate school. During her time there, she worked as both a Geriatric Care Manager and a Guardian of the Person, roles which enriched her skills and experience working on behalf of her clients’ and their best interests.
A native of Bothell, Washington, Amanda loves to spend her free time cooking (especially baking), hiking and with family and friends. She also enjoys volunteering, having worked several times at the Bohol Deaf Academy in the Philippines, as well as at Northwest Harvest, and the Frye Art Museum’s Bridges program.
