Nicole was born in Buffalo, NY, grew up primarily in Houston, Texas, and moved to Seattle in 2007. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Texas State University and graduated from the University of Texas with a Master of Social Work degree in 2004. She is a licensed clinical social worker and a certified care manager.
Her early work includes hospice care and medical social work but working with older adults was always the goal. She discovered the world of private care management in 2007 where she has been focused since. She joined the Aging Wisdom team in 2014. She meets with many of the new clients and facilitates consultations with adult children who are seeking guidance on how best to navigate the complexities of supporting an aging parent. Additionally, Nicole provides supervision to the care management team.
Her grounded and gentle spirit helps convey a sense of peace and calm even in the most chaotic situation.
As a mom of two young children, she has a greater appreciation for those balancing career responsibilities with caregiving responsibilities of an aging parent as the challenges seem very similar.
