Wendy graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Respiratory Therapy and later earned a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Washington.
Wendy has been with Aging Wisdom since 2013. She brings two decades of experience in healthcare, having worked in a variety of roles that led her to care management. She began her healthcare career as a respiratory therapist, working in hospitals and in research. For 15 years she worked intimately with older adults providing home care services and as a licensed massage practitioner. This work provided a unique opportunity to see how people age, and what influences them to age well. This fascination with aging was the springboard that led her to the UW certificate in gerontology and ultimately becoming a care manager. She relishes the opportunity to work with seniors.
In her spare time, Wendy facilitates a caregiver support group for the Alzheimer’s Association. She loves to cook, to read and spend time with her two kids and husband, especially outdoors. You can always find her at her neighborhood Farmers Market.
