I would like to thank you for being there for my motherwhen she has needed care. It has been amazing to watch your compassionate and unwavering advocacy for the safety and well-being…even if dementia makes things more difficult.

~ Client’s daughter

It has been such a privilege to work with you all these years. Each person on your team with whom I’ve worked has been an absolute joy to know. You have such competent skills and an extraordinary sense of caring for your clients. Thank you for your kindness, your patience, your compassion, your joy, your generosity of spirit.

~Client’s Attorney

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Your help over these many years has been profound. I’ve learned so much from each of you about how to keep dad a real person, separate from the dementia. AND I’ve benefited from all of your wisdom in keeping myself sane and coping with my emotions in all of this.

~ Client’s son

You are doing such a fabulous job. You've put together an excellent care team; you're communicating regularly with us; you helped with a supported living admission the first official day on the job; you've helped us all understand medical status and treatment while she's been in the hospital; you've done the discharge planning for leaving the hospital; you've managed multiple communications with her living community; and you've been emotionally supportive of us all. On a purely selfish note, I left for my yoga retreat last weekend with complete peace of mind. Thank you!

~ Client’s Financial Advisor

You have been such remarkable companions on our long journey with our dear aunt. Warmest thanks to each one of you for your wise, caring support and guidance as we navigated the many twists and turns of her life. She and our family were so fortunate to have you all involved in her care. My heartfelt thanks to you all.

~ Client’s niece and Power of Attorney

Many thanks to you and your team for your care and guidance in getting me to this point. I know I have benefitted from your knowledge, your professionalism and your compassion. It has meant more than I can ever say. Thanks for all you do!

~ Client’s friend and neighbor

Thank you for your insight and input. And thank you for affirming my sister’s health, well-being and safety as a priority.

~Client’s sister

We want to thank you for all the wonderful support you and your staff gave our Dad 🙂 You have all made his last couple years as good as was possible! Your team was indispensable and have been a delight to work with, so intelligent, caring, and efficient! And Dad's creative engagement specialist was a godsend and able to give our Dad "good times" and "man talk"!

~ Client’s family

We provide expert senior care consulting in King and south Snohomish Counties. We serve Seattle, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Redmond, Kirkland, Bothell, Woodinville, Edmonds, and surrounding areas. There are times we can consult with clients in other nearby counties, provided we feel knowledgeable enough about the situation and area to be helpful. If we cannot effectively meet your needs, we will do our best to get you connected with other community resources or a colleague in that area.

Our team of Aging Life Care Experts brings an unparalleled depth and breadth of knowledge and experience. Our role is often described as coach, educator, stress reducer, navigator, and even life saver.

Below are a few of our specialty areas:

In our work, we take a holistic, client-centered approach to guiding individuals, couples, and families navigating options for living well, caring well, and aging well.

Our Aging Wisdom team has a special niche supporting individuals and families navigating an Alzheimer’s or diagnosis of another dementia (including young-onset dementia) and help families anticipate and plan for what is ahead.

We work with our clients to create a personalized road map following a diagnosis. We understand the unique challenges that can occur with dementia such as complicated behaviors, refusing help, and navigating driving.

Many of the clients we work with lack awareness and insight into their needs and are unwilling to accept help. We have years of collective experience and a record of success in helping families navigate these challenges. Our goal is to reduce your stress, ensure care needs are met, and collaborate on a plan to avoid future crises.

Aging Wisdom is considered a leader in the field of care management when it comes to helping families manage difficult dynamics. We can often help families avoid escalating conflict by finding common ground and serving as a communication liaison. We are a neutral party that can make professional recommendations on the best care options for a family member or friend and help mediate differing opinions. If needed, we collaborate closely with attorneys or other involved professionals.

Schedule a free “get acquainted call” on our website and we can determine if we can be helpful for your situation. During this call, we will answer any questions that you have about our services and review our fees. If it feels like we can offer value, we will schedule an initial meeting at a mutually convenient time.

Aging Wisdom does not employ licensed caregivers. However, once we learn more about your family member’s care needs, personality, preferences, and financial situation, we can help you understand the best options for your unique situation.

If staying at home and adding caregiving support is the best option for your situation, we can make recommendations for specific home care or placement agencies. We can also coordinate or monitor care on our client’s behalf. We understand the ins and outs of the caregiving industry and help our clients navigate these decisions successfully.

Aging Wisdom does offer Creative Engagement Services (companionship services) which focuses on optimizing the quality of life for our clients.

Our team has a background in social work, counseling, and other related professions. Aging Wisdom has been serving clients since 2003 and collectively we have decades of experience specializing in aging, dementia, and chronic illness.

Navigating the healthcare system and monitoring medical conditions is a large part of our work. We coordinate any services on our clients’ behalf that we cannot provide ourselves and collaborate closely with our clients’ medical providers.
