Nicole was born in Buffalo, New York, raised in Houston, Texas, and has called Seattle home since 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas State University and went on to receive a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas in 2004. Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Care Manager, and a Certified MoCA Assessor.
Nicole joined the Aging Wisdom team in 2014 and currently serves as Director of Care Management. In this role, she supervises the care management team, supports organizational leadership initiatives, and continues to work directly with clients and their families. Her professional background includes hospice care and medical social work, experiences that deeply inform her thoughtful and compassionate approach. She is a member of the Aging Life Care Association — Western Region Chapter Board of Directors and a founding member of the Aging Life Care® Supervisors Group, focused on best practices in supervising care management professionals.
A mentor at heart, Nicole is passionate about guiding families through complex aging-related challenges, supporting and developing care management professionals, and increasing community awareness through education and presentations. Her areas of specialty include dementia care planning, navigating resistance to care, working with families in conflict, assessing decision-making capacity, and supporting solo agers and proactive planners.
Known for her grounded and gentle presence, Nicole brings a calming steadiness to even the most emotionally charged situations. Outside of work, she and her husband are happily busy raising two vibrant school-aged children.
